At about 9.50am on Monday 24th May 2010 an elderly resident in Meadow Close (Berry Meadow), Fenny Compton found an unknown man in her house. He made an excuse for being in the house. This individual left by the rear door. Following this property as found to have been stolen from the house. This man may have been wearing black clothing, a high visibility top and a cap. This is the second incident in Fenny Compton involving elderly victims in 2 weeks. Please can all Neighbourhood Watch members speak to elderly neighbours and warn then not to leave their houses insecure and not allow any unknown visitors entry that do not have identification. To report crime or pass on any other information about this message ring 01926 415000. Quote the incident number if known. In broad daylight on Monday 10th May entry was forced into a property on the High Street (opposite the school).
A car outside Manor Court had a window smashed recently.
Two more reasons to encourage vigilance and reporting of anything that seems suspicious.

Theft of Diesel
Approx 70l of diesel stolen from lorry behind the Coop overnight 3/4 May (this is the second incident of this kind recently). CCTV footage to be reviewed. I understand that diesel has also been stolen from the vehicles on the building site on Station Road.
