Heating for less - If you use oil

Welcome to the HeatingOilForLess (HOFL) scheme.
The majority of the communication is via email as this makes it more practical for me to run the HOFL scheme. I collate all member requirements for a scheduled order date. The most competitive price is then obtained from a choice of 13 local Suppliers with delivery normally the same week.
Payment is made directly to the Supplier (normally following an invoice from them to you following delivery). If you have not been a customer of the chosen supplier before, they reserve the right to request payment prior to or upon delivery and will contact you via phone to arrange. HOFL does not take part in the payment process.
Once I have negotiated the best price I update all HOFL scheme members via email with the negotiated price.
Please spread the word about the scheme to your neighbours and friends – the more who join and use the scheme, the more money can be saved and the greater benefit to the environment with reduced fuel lorries on our roads. There’s a wealth of information about the scheme on the website.

Best wishes

Paul Gallagher

Or for local delivery email watch@fcvh.org.uk including your full address as they want to know exactly where they will be displayed.

Young Cyclists in Fenny Compton

During these dark evenings several teenagers have been spotted on bikes without any sort of lights, reflectors or reflective clothing.
Parents please be aware that this is extremely hazardous.  To avoid the unthinkable, please ensure any young person in your family who rides a bike (just nipping to the shops perhaps, or back from the stables?) has a bike with lights and good reflective clothing or reflective band.  A van driver had to find his brakes pretty sharpish recently when he rounded to a corner to find two young ladies zipping through the village without lights or reflectors!
