NHW NW & NB 18 year old male charged with burglaries of homes in Nuneaton, Rugby, Bulkington, Bedworth & Southam
We are pleased to let you know that officers have charged 18 year
old Jay Bennett of Shulmans Walk, Coventry with conspiring to commit
burglary with intent to steal between 6 March and 17 March at a number
of addresses in Warwickshire.
The addresses are Rugby Road Bulkington, Northbourne Drive
Nuneaton, Percival Road Rugby, three addresses in The Arbours, Rugby,
Edward Tyler Road Bedworth, Newland Lane Ash Green Coventry, Smorral
Lane Bedworth, Scots Close Rugby, Welsh Road West Southam, Old Road
Southam, Coventry Road Bulkington and Golf Drive Nuneaton.
Jay Bennett was arrested on Saturday 17 March and following questioning was charged on Monday 19 March. Three other males from Coventry who are aged 15, 16 and 17 years old were also arrested by Warwickshire officers from an address in Coventry on Saturday 17 March on suspicion of burglary. Following questioning they were released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries.
On Friday 16 March, officers recovered a VW Golf abandoned in
Coventry and are investigating whether this may be connected to recent
burglaries.
Please note a grey VW Golf believed to have been used in recent burglaries was also recovered by officers this on Monday 19 March after suspects abandoned the vehicle in Coventry.

Locally witnesses have reported seeing a VW Golf with people inside that ended houses posing to offer window cleaning services.
