MERRIE LION / STREET PARTY 2nd June - LATEST

ALMOST THERE………………..

1.      THANK YOU FENNY COMPTON! We would like to say a huge 'thank you' to all our shareholders and the village for being so supportive and patient over the months. It has been hard work but we are very close to re-opening our village pub.

2.      JUBILEE STREET PARTY Saturday 2 June from 4pm. Wet weather caused delays in building so we are not expecting the pub to be fully open, but we will make good use of the car park/beer garden. The celebrations start at 4pm and will continue until 22,00. There will be a hog roast, burgers and sausages, as well as beer, wine and plenty of soft drinks. The Tots and Toddler group have kindly lent some play equipment for the under-5s, there will be face painting, skittles, competitions and a raffle (prizes gratefully received - please bring with you on the day). An amp and mike will be available for music-makers of any age and description to entertain us. The Fenny Compton Fire Brigade will have the tender on show and other village groups will be adding to the fun on the day. We hope to finish with a rousing village 'Last Night of the Proms' singsong to celebrate the Jubilee in style. All-in-all it promises to be a fabulous day for Fenny and many thanks go to the village hall committee and all who have given their support. We will need some extra help on the day, so please volunteer and call Jaccl on 770948 or Keith on 770747. Many hands make light work!

3.      OPENING. So when will the pub be open? The rain has held us up, but the bars should be open late June, with the kitchen following.
