Over the last week we have had numerous reports of suspect vehicles, where the occupants have been seen acting suspiciously.
If you see any vehicle or persons acting suspiciously in your area, please contact Police straight away, with as much information as possible, obtaining any vehicle registration numbers if possible. This will allow officers to identify potential offenders.

Another Monday, Another Daylight Burglary
7th June
This time in Avon Dassett (near the top of the village). Not a lot a detail yet but it was messy and expensive electrical items were taken.
It appears that the thief was attracted by a parcel hung on the front door, a window was forced to gain entry.
Please remind people to make arrangements if they are expecting a packet too large for the letterbox.

Distraction Burglary - Another elderly person targeted by white male (30) pretending to be a Police Officer
Please can we make you aware that at just before 2.30pm on 1 June a male called at the home of an elderly resident in Starbold Road, Bishops Itchington purporting to be a Police Officer.
The offender showed the resident a form of identification and then the resident became suspicious and slammed the door. The offender then attempted to enter the house via a rear window but failed to get in.
The male is described as white, aged around 30. He was not wearing a uniform and had a medium build and short fair hair.
Please remain alert, on the lookout for suspicious persons or activity around the homes of elderly neighbours. Please report anything that you consider to be out of the ordinary or of concern to police. Thankyou.

Burglary
At about 9.50am on Monday 24th May 2010 an elderly resident in Meadow Close (Berry Meadow), Fenny Compton found an unknown man in her house. He made an excuse for being in the house. This individual left by the rear door. Following this property as found to have been stolen from the house. This man may have been wearing black clothing, a high visibility top and a cap. This is the second incident in Fenny Compton involving elderly victims in 2 weeks. Please can all Neighbourhood Watch members speak to elderly neighbours and warn then not to leave their houses insecure and not allow any unknown visitors entry that do not have identification. Burglary
In broad daylight on Monday 10th May entry was forced into a property on the High Street (opposite the school).
A car outside Manor Court had a window smashed recently.
Two more reasons to encourage vigilance and reporting of anything that seems suspicious.

Theft of Diesel
Approx 70l of diesel stolen from lorry behind the Coop overnight 3/4 May (this is the second incident of this kind recently). CCTV footage to be reviewed. I understand that diesel has also been stolen from the vehicles on the building site on Station Road.
