Northamptonshire Police have released the image of a man that we wish to speak to in connection with the murder of a family of four in Pioneer Close, Wootton, Northampton.

Missing Vehicle - BG60 PMO
Officers attended the property on Sunday 1 May, when the bodies were discovered.
At a press conference today, held at Northamptonshire police headquarters, Detective Superintendant Glyn Timmins confirmed officers were looking for 52 year old Anxiang Du, a businessman from the West Midlands area.

Mr Du is described as 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build. He is believed to live in Coventry and work in Birmingham.
He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, brown waist length coat, grey trousers, a blue woollen top, black leather shoes and carrying a rucksack.

Mr Du is believed to run a business in the Pavilion shopping centre in Birmingham, however there may have been a possible sighting of him in the Pallasades shopping centre on Friday 29 April. Mr Du was reported missing by family members to the police on Friday 29 April when he is believed to have left for work at approximately 10.30am.
Detective Superintendant Glyn Timmins, said:
“We are anxious to trace Mr Du and would urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact the police. We are not clear as to Mr Du’s state of mind, in particularly as he is believed to have left a suicide note at the store shortly before his disappearance. We believe this attack was targeted to this specific family and not a random attack, however we would urge the public not to approach him and to contact us on 999 or 0800 096 1011. We believe Mr Du is connected to the family through business associations.”

It is also confirmed that a post mortem examination revealed that the four people had died as a result of stab wounds, inflicted by a knife, which officers were trying to locate.
Detective Superintendant Glyn Timmins, said:
“So far we have been unable to locate family members in order to formally ID the deceased members. However, we strongly believe that they are the Ding family residing at that property, consisting of 46 year old father Jifing Ding (known locally as Jeff), 47 year old mother Ge Chui (known locally as Helen), 18 year old daughter Xing Ding (known locally as Nancy) and 12 year old daughter Alice Ding. We are also keen to locate the missing silver five door Vauxhall Corsa, registration number BG60 PMO, which was hired by the family but has not been seen since Friday. The vehicle may be with Mr Du and we would ask members of the public to neither approach the vehicle nor Mr Du, but to report the sighting immediately to the police”
Forensic teams are expected to remain at the property this week as evidence is gathered. A team of more than 60 officers including forensic officers continue to investigate the quadruple murder and search for evidence. “So far we have been unable to locate family members in order to formally ID the deceased members.
